Yuma Roundup

February 17, 2010

Moo was not a happy girl when we squeezed back into my dad’s Jeep for the ride back to Phoenix.  Simply unable to put on her shoes, or walk, or climb into her carseat, she could only wail one comprehensible sentence:

“I want to do Yuma all over again!”

She must have liked the scavenger hunt – go Team Yellow!

Running through the streets of town with Uncle Steve was fun, too:

We visited the Territorial Prison during the scavenger hunt (where my great-grandfather was a doctor way back when):

And we made a human pyramid under the Ocean-to-Ocean bridge:

My dad, the master planner of the whole weekend, was a wee bit tired after the scavenger hunt:

And these two look tired, but really they were just taking a break from some post-banquet hijinks:

..Which others soon joined:

And really, is there anything more fun than playing a kazoo on a king-sized hotel bed?  I don’t think so.

Yay Yuma!  But despite what Moo and Herbie said, I don’t think I’m quite ready to move there, Dad.  But thanks for a wonderful weekend (you too, Mom!).

Well, I wouldn’t say move there. And I guess you can’t say summer home, since it is hotter than here…hmm…timeshare?
